Thanks, guys... I did stay up quite late last night after I made that post. Denise's dad has scanned hundreds (if not thousands) of photos of his ancestors, ancestral homes, newspaper clippings, etc. (including the letter that shows Denise's as a direct descendant of Daniel Boone, etc.) All priceless stuff for Denise and my kids. I copied ALL those photos to my home PC using gotomypc.com... WOW... great stuff to have. Also, her dad (Don Fender) was instrumental in starting drag racing in Colorado. He and the members of his car club (which included eventual NHRA Division 5 director Darrell Zimmerman) started Julesburg Drag Strip, which still runs to this day. He also taught college level auto mechanics and he put on a car show every year that was THE place that the Northeastern Colorado/southwestern Nebraska hot rodders, kustoms, and drag racers showed their stuff. I have photos from all those shows he put on in the late 60s and early 70s. I'll be putting those up on Dragphoto.com soon. bp

"T", Compass,   I see a GPS - dot dot in your future. Or maybe an embedded magnetic strip in the track.

Have fun BP. You know it will end too soon.

Thanks, all! It sure was a blast getting together. I've been falling down (asleep) on the job this week as I've done nothing but read all your excellent posts, but have offered few of my own. I'm really doing some heavy napping, eating, and swimming this week... every time I sit down at the computer I start to doze... Tonight, we just got back from the Drive In (a double bill with Cars and Garfield Part 2). Both pretty funny, but pretty predictable. But I thought I'd better get up here and answer a few emails and type a few posts! bp
