Where is LL? She usually does all the reservations. If not I will check on accommodations.

There seems to be a lot of accomodation in the area, but would there be a block of rooms in the same place? A big event like this,may already have reservations. We'll have to commit early I think. I've looked in to flights from Seattle. Looks like only one a day, to Nashville so we'll have to commit early for that as well. Plus start buying U.S. Funds.

This is an event I've heard about for years, but have never been there. This could be one of those bucket list thingies.

hmmm....Bowling Green in June.....that sounds REAL close to do-able....just need to get them pesky ducks in a cohesive row tweenst now and then...

OK Folks, we been out a town and just checked this thread. Was surprised to see any action at all, much less 3 pages. Read all the posts to LL and she is already jumping on line to check lodging. When she hit "BOWLING GREEN KY" a pic of a AA/FA coming at ya smoking the tires popped up.

This is a big event gang, I'm talkin HUGE. I don't know how pricey rooms will be. The track is old, rickedy seats, ect. There are old cars everywhere
each hotel parking lot is a car show. Sat is when we would want to spend at the track. Fri. night at the host hotel is the "HALL OF FAME" inductees banquet (FREE) no food. The MC is usually none other than the legendary, DAVE McClelland.

YES, if this is what we want then I HIGHLY recommend we act quickly, for FLIGHTS & HOTELS.

I don't know if BG is close to Nashville or not. LL will do some checking and we will get back when we have info.

(ps) I have been to this event, It's a great nostalgia event. Front Motor diggers AA/FD - AA/FA's -ect. I saw Rapid Randy make his first pass in
NANOOK at this event. Big Daddy usually has a souvenir trailer in the midway. Ohio George was there. The stars of the past.
It's always fathers day weekend.

Nashville is about an hour or hour and half due South... but it is a great event. If Linda can start checking around, that would be great! Thanks, Zappy! bp

LL is on it now. We are going to Tenn. at CHRISTMAS. On the way home we will try to do a fact finding mission on hotels in Bowling Green area.
