Just found this one in my inbox. Raceway Park PEI Track photographer Mark MacDonald caught one of yours truly studying the Camaro's front suspension travel during a Sunday AM time trial.
And yes - that strip of grass down the middle has turned more than one racecar into a tinfoil ball over the years. There's not a whole lot of traction in red mud and grass.......

What a super day we had at Cape Breton Dragway - it was nice and warm at 25C(78F), a little tailwind and awesome traction. First to the head of the staging lanes was the Pro class (11.50 - 13.49)

Lots of racers told me they had their quickest ever 60 foot times today which for a lot of them translated into a tenth or two off their best ET. That was enough to put Bill Capstick's S-10 in the 7's for the first time at Cape Breton Dragway.

Saturday Race results
Gamblers Race
1. Jason MacNeil
2. John MacKinnon
3. Bruce Howatt
Bike/Sled Gamblers

2. Aaron Cooke
3. Murray Lewis
