Well this is about as close as the car got to the track.

I thought I had the reverse cable/shifter problems solved. (WRONG) The car has a BRT converter drive & a 3 speed Lenco. Started the car to do our warm up routine, so far so good, go to shift into reverse & it keeps popping out Uh Oh
We pull the trans, pull the cover off the reverse case, pull the cross shaft out and reverse fork out. The steel pins in the fork are trashed. Ok now what? beat the pins out, clean them up with a file, turned each pin 180* and beat them back in, stake them in place, put everything back together. Good to go. Yea right???
Try to restart the car and the CSR starter takes a crap. The starter was pinned in place but somehow it moved and wiped out the bendix gear. Oh well time to pack up and go home.
You would think this would be the end of my troubles for the day right!!! (WRONG)
On the way home from the shop my work van blew the center of a spark plug out!!!!
Tune in next week to your favorite Bat channel for my next installment of (I'll make this thing go down the track if it kills me)

Just blew the center of the plug out. The metal plug body was still screwed into the head, everything else was gone. Strangest thing I ever seen happen to a spark plug Doc. :?
Unscrewed the plug out installed a new one, problem fixed, I hope.....
Here is a pic
