This was my weekend project. Now instead of loadin' everything in the back of the P.U. (a real pain in the  ) I can pick everthing I need off the trailer with the fork attachment in one shot. Then when I get to the sign site everything is stacked in the right order to build the sign. Wish I had this years ago. Can't wait for the next install to try it out.

Hopin' to get some "Z" time in next Saturday afternoon. I wonder what that would be like. :?: :?: :?:

Thanks Steve. I'm not gettin' any younger, so I figure I need to come up with some labor (back) savers. Long range I'm thinkin' of a pneumatic cane.    Haven't got the bugs worked out on that one yet tho. I've got plans for (don't break your back putin' that stuff up & takin' it down type) scaffolding too. Earmarked for the other side of the trailer. But, I wanna' spend some time on the "Z" first.

An electric lift that you could roll a cart onto and lift to the back or side door would be slick. I like gadgets that make life easier.

 I need doors for the "Z". I got an offer for some used fiberglass doors, price was good and I considered it, but I think I want new doors ........ just because. I'd prefer steel doors so I can keep roll-up windows, but if I want new that doesn't seem to be an option. Classic industries have them listed in their catalog, but when I call they say they're not available for sale yet. They've been saying that for a couple years now, so it's time to look at options. I CAN get door skins, but my doors have rot in the inner panels. If I go fiberglass I'm another step away from streetable (that's not a big deal anymore tho anyway).

So, who out there has good or bad track records for good quality fiberglass parts. Not many carry gen II camaro doors. These are the only 2 I've found

Any feedback or other sources?

One of these days I'm gonna' get back on this thing so I figured i better start linin' up some winter time "Z" inventory.

Thanks for your input.

i've had quite a bit of experience with the fiberglass pro mod stuff, as long as you brace the hinges good you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm thinkin' of calling Classic Industries. They have fiberglass gen II doors listed in the catalog and unlike the steel doors there is no "Coming Soon" disclaimer behind the part number. If they DO have them available I might go that route. I was very pleased with the quarter panels from them and in the mock up stage they seems to fit well.

Might get some time Saturday to get the tranny cross member done. I've got to massage the right frame rail just a tad for header clearance and then I can set it back down and start hanging accessories on the frame. Steering, B-R-A-K-E-S, body.....stuff like that.

Just remembered, I still have those rear wheel bearing spacers laying on the lathe from last Spring. Guess I should get those done too.
