Thank you for these links, BP, and I will follow up on all of it. If there is anything legally incorrect about what I did, I will remove both (SS&DI and HR) covers from Draglist...if it looks OK to do this for kicks and not for money, I suppose I'll leave 'em in place. I just don't want Draglist to be liable if it turns out to be a no-no. Using "Hot Rod" for that was the only dadgum thing that'd fit the good doctor's dream issue...but if there is some trademark problem, even if it was for free, I'll take it down...Thanks again, WC1

I think we are totally fine with what you've done so far... but when we start to charge money for it, somebody's gonna say something... that's all I was thinking about. The ones you've done already are GREAT. bp

Thanks, BP! I signed up with retouchPRO. They have a whole set of free online tutorials that show stuff I never dreamed of and they're nice, friendly people. I made some posts and showed 'em some stuff I've done, not motorsports, and I'm awaiting some replies, and so on. I posted a question about the magazine cover issue and I'm waiting to hear what they think about that...they'd know...there is that one guy that has a site where he'll put your face on Britney Spears, etc., any magazine, he has 4 or 5 available, and the quality is just not there...it's cut-and-paste in a hurry and he charges 5 times what I would...heck, I'D sue him. But free is free, and I didn't see anything on retouchPRO.com that mentioned any problems about that kind of fun...but if there IS something I shouldn't do, I'll take care of it right away...thanks again for that great link! :D morning all !! yep i love it !! along the lines of using hot rod or other known magazine names, what about just using the Draglist logo instead ? Iwould love that just as much at the top of the cover. the logo and then in small print next to it (the magazine ) :?:

 ooppps ! after daydreaming again about my heavily sponsored funnycar :D i almost forgot to report on yesterday-nights event  It was a beautiful day at Gateway in more ways than one.. the weather was great, a little warm and humid but nothing like the hot soup recently. In adittion to our regular points deal there were many more cars in all classes competing in a Drag News event which attracted more spectators than the norm. it is nice when people walk up and look at your deal and nod their approval and ask questions. We were feeling pretty good after the timetrials (2 per class ) with 4 laps within .02.. after watching a cool camaro promod make a 6.70 @214 test lap from my favorite vantage point right under the tower  we were in the 2nd pair up after the playing of the National Anthem.. it was great to see a lot of folks in the stands standing and singing along !! It was also great to see our win light come on :D 10 points and save $20 on the buyback ! We hot lapped back around for first round of pro/et and got another win light :D saving another $25 not having to buy back. So far so good.. 6 laps and we are dialing good and the new slicks are working great.I wish we had a video camera as since the tires were brand new yesterday i focased my attention on the tire on the starting line kneeling on the wall as close as possible to the left rear (in the left lane ) during the first couple laps.there was a lot of time before our second round call to the lanes due to the high car counts and a non racing medical emergency of a fellow street et competitor who was found on the floor in the tower restroom.he was transported to a hospital so the racing was halted untill a back up ambulance service arrived. i never heard an update on Mr. Hunt's condition I hope he is ok.. 2nd round in street we drew our good friend Dave Demsco and his beautiful 65 impala ss... a close race but Dave's win light came on.. i was watching the finish line with my binoculers as i always do during eliminations wow a great race but a loss to Dave. 2nd round of pro/et same result.. drew another tough one (there really are no easy ones in the points deal ) another close race but again no win light :( but all in all another fun time at the races.. we lost a little ground in the points but with only 2 races remaining we should easily make the invite to the div 3 finals.. fingers crossed :D
