Just added all the concerts I've attended (that I can remember!) on Facebook... of course, I added Johnny B (and many other Houston Blues acts). bp

Much rocking and rolling has been done in the last month. We're playing 2, 3, 4 nights a week sometimes, and Pee Wee's phone keeps ringing. Some of these shows stand out, but honestly a lot of them blend together into a motion-blur...the 2 shows we played at the Haak Winery in 2 weekends were memorable for their content. The first one was a benefit for Courtney, a young girl who has a debilitating condition and is at this time completely immobilized, but she has incredible support from her family. The Bayou City Cruisers and the Phantom Kruizers brought their cars and the Pee Wee Bowen Band played. Below is the link to Camaro Kid's photos. Memorial Day, we played there again, it was the 6th gig we'd played in 9 days. You would think we'd be burned out but we lit up for the crowd and played 2 1/2 hours with one 10 minute break and the place jumped. We worked up a medley of military themes (Marine Corps hymn, Caissons go Marching (or is it Rolling?) along, Anchors Aweigh, and Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder) which segued into "American Trilogy" by Elvis. Hank had the idea and gave us each a little sheet with the song order. It went over great, and we're going to do that again at T-Bone Tom's on the 4th of July. Just kicking back for now, played a rooftop gig in Galveston last night on the Strand. The elevator worked! Life is good! I had my DragList Telecaster worked on yesterday, Ronnie set the intonation for me...it has a few miles on it now (around 300 gigs) and it needed a little tweaking here and there. Anyway, I was amazed at Haak's at how many people came up to me and said "Where's the BUG? We want the BUG!" I couldn't take the Bug because I had to run over to Lone Star where Sylvester's car stalled out the night before and get his trombones out of it and then we went on to the gig...next time! Here's the car show link. Enjoy! WC1
