At least when someone comes to help you they don't have to walk a half-mile to get to the rear of the car.

After the fact, it is kind of funny knowing that you were sitting in there flapping your arms like some kind of booboohead trying to take flight.

yeah - it's always funny afterwards - sure isn't at the time

heck, my car's so small, I can almost reach around back myself ;)

Perry.....Change your switch on the rear to a push/pull style....then....fabricate an arm with two holes on the switch....one for the rod out the back...the other for a shifter cable quick connect fitting......run the shifter cable inside the car to a comfortable convenient location and make like a parachute lever to either push or pull the cable, so you can turn the power off/on from the driver's seat.....I made a set up like this for MY car...and I LOVE IT!!!!!.....I don't have to worry about trying to get someone's attention and ask them "Hey Man...Can ya turn me on??!!".....and an added benefit....."IF" something goes haywire while going down the track.....you can shut the power off before track personnel even know there is a problem.

"I" think so, Lippy  ....Actually...I think this type of set up should be made mandatory on ALL race cars with a battery, but that's just me

ok... I've declared the chassis ready for the engine 8)

I've got to load it up and take it over for chassis certification this Saturday. Hopefully I can get the trailer out of the driveway - I'm praying for enough warm weather to get some of this melted - right now we have about 4 inches of really soft slushy stuff - not good for pulling a trailer through....

The crank is done - have to pick it up and send it to the balancer. C/A is shipping my rods out at the end of this week.

Looks like I'm going to have to put a fake motor in it for the car show
