Thanks again, everyone.
I owe a lot to some great friends who have made a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
I can't begin to tell you how pleased I am with the way things are turning out. We're pretty much done with the detailing and freshening up and hope to have the body back on within a week or so.

I'll try to get some pics up when that happens, but it will probably depend a lot on the weather.

The Solid Rock, a 1971 Mustang Mach I nostalgia funny car will be on display at the Race and Performance Expo at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL. on March 6th & 7th.
It will be displayed in conjunction with the Engine Challenge that is put on by the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow organization.
The Engine Challenge is a high school competition where teams of five students compete against the clock. They compete with identical small block Chevy engines "dressed out" as to replicate engines found in today's muscle cars and hot rods. They work with hand tools using proper tear down and reassembly techniques.

Your Funny Car could be shown anywhere, but this is something special...I went and looked at the link to the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow. How I wish they had something like this when I was in high school. You're doing great things, Rocky. You're giving back. I have no doubt that those kids will some day look back on that day and offer thanks for the opportunities that you and your friends presented to them. Your car is absolutely one of the coolest hot rods around, it sets an example and sparks the imaginations of young men and women who are looking for something good to do. I can't think of a better display for them to see. Cheers, WC1
