LITTLE BIT of info i am digging up on the ol Vega.
pretty dominate car Ken Veney had.

Veney designed and tacked together himself the first of four Veney's Vega Funny Cars in 1972 and went undefeated for the season. In 1973, he added nitro, dominated local competition, and, in one of his few NHRA appearances in A/FC in Comp, immediately destroyed the national record with a 7.45.

At the 1973 Supernationals, Pro Comp's first race, Veney qualified No. 1 and was runner-up with his injected nitro-burner. At the following event, the 1974 Winternationals, his first race with a blower, he made the first NHRA run in the sixes, and was runner-up to old friend Dale Armstrong, who was driving Veney's A/Fuel Dragster.

After winning the 1974 AHRA championship, Veney traded his big-block Chevy for an aluminum K-B in 1975 and won his first national event, the Summernationals, with the quickest run in history, a 6.76. He won the following race, Montreal, defeating Armstrong in the final. Armstrong then returned the favor at the World Finals.

Yes, it is...it's important historical information, and that car is a cornerstone of the class...you have an authentic rolling, and still running breakthrough car from back in the day. Veney...wow...I hear he's still out there, too...maybe you could get in touch and let him know you have that car...he'd probably be delighted to hear all about it...the guy is a genius, he did it with his own two hands and a machine shop...this also might get me off the hook from having to do that hood the way it's supposed to be done, which I somehow lost the grip I had on it when I started on it...but I'll wait to see what develops and move forward with the program if you're still up for that, just let me know, Vic...and congratulations on snagging this car. It is priceless. Cheers, WC1

Thanks, it is too cool. 8)
Well i am thinking now,.. the car should go back to
being red, .... i love this blue though,..
using the same font,...VICS VEGA 8)
i have a brand new 505 injected bbc to stick
in it and even with the almost same
looking headers,..  .
so i am still thinking :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
i will probly put some 9.8 to 10.1 comp TRW flat top
turbo pistons in the 505 so i can run it on
30-40 % nitro w/10.1 comp....sounds like a plan.

Thanks flyin, and randy,..
its a nice car and some history, but its not a prohdomme, or
ed the ace or jungle jim. which of course everyone has
one of those.
So i guess i will join the flat nose club.

i read in the NHRA Nostalgia rule book that i cant run my
car as a A/FUEL...car,..but they allow blown supercharged
front diggers and center steer altered,..since when does a
A/FUEL class consist of any car or vehicle
containing a blower ?????B.S.....
