With all due respect, I disagree. In my opinion the prosecution had no hard proof.
No murder weapon
no crime scene
no witness
no cause of death.

The jury had proof of two things: 1) the mom lies. 2) the baby is dead.
For #1 the jury DID find her guilty.

How can we,(the public) expect the jury to sentence her to death for murder, when we can't even PROVE that a murder took place??
Our country just celebrated 235 years with the Constitution that states " INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty".
Before that, we had at the opposite, I think we would all agree that that system didn't work well, probably why we changed it.
I do believe that there is much more to this story, but short of a deathbed confession, I doubt very much that we the public will ever know it all.

Zappy, I've received numerous emails from folks who read my blog that also share your opinion... Some of them downright displeased by my take on the case... And like I've said, I definitely respect their right, and your right, to be of a completely different opinion than I... In today's blog I address those like yourself who don't agree with me... I'd print the blog right here, but it's kinda way off-topic of the drag racing content I believe most people expect to see on these pages, so I posted the link to my blog below... While I may be in the minority on this, it's nice to hear that i'm not alone. The most important of course, are the 12 people in Fl. that also agree with me. You are correct, under our system we would rather let a guilty person go free, rather than falsely imprison an innocent person. That may very well be the case here.

Just because it walks like a duck – and quacks like a duck – that doesn't prove that it IS a duck.

Don't forget, no one has stated that the woman is innocent – she just wasn't PROVEN guilty. (There is a difference)

Zappy, yes, you are correct, nobody is necessarily claiming that Casey Anthony is innocent, she just wasn't PROVEN guilty... That's a good point... It's also worth mentioning that yesterday's rumor that was circulating among the mainstream media, that Jerry Springer was offering $1 Million dollars for her to appear on his show was later denied by Springer's camp... In today's blog we switch gears from the completely classless Casey Anthony, to NHRA's decision to bring some REAL CLASS to their ROUTE 66 Nationals...

Brought some real class to the sport... And unlike Cristina Aguilara's performance at the Super Bowl, Jim Cornelison was actually able to remember all the words to the song... Have you ever mustered the stomach and courage to actually sit through an entire episode of TODDLERS & TIARAS?... It's a huge hit TV show that's currently airing on THE LEARNING CHANNEL cable network... Basically the show is about very little girls, wearing overy-priced frilly dresses, and engaged in extremely intense competitive beauty pageants... Emotions run high and the competition can become downright fierce... I find some profound parallels and similarities between little girls walking the pageant runways in frilly dresses, and adults campaigning their race cars at the drag strip... Last night, "CYBERBULLY", a made-for-TV movie debuted on ABC-TV... The film basically dealt with the timely issue of Teen oriented cyber bullying-- Although we all know that on the drag racing internet, practically all the cyber bullying comes from middle-aged men far beyond their teen years... In my blog today I discuss how our breed of drag racing cyber blowhards distort truth and sure don't do any justice to the memory and image of drag racing greats who've passed on... I also talk "BREAKING BAD"... And I fill all my loyal readers in on the huge SUMMER MOTORSPORTS SPECTACULAR coming to ETown this wed night... Saw lots of familiar faces and some brand spanking new ones too... Drag veteran Jack Redd is here at Englishtown, as you may already be aware, he gave this event his very prestigious "JACK APPROVED" endorsement... I discuss today's scheduled event, as well as yesterday's "Meet 'n' Greet" gathering hosted at Raceway Park's "air conditioned" hospitality tower in my blog today...
