With all due respect, I disagree. In my opinion the prosecution had no hard proof.
No murder weapon
no crime scene
no witness
no cause of death.
The jury had proof of two things: 1) the mom lies. 2) the baby is dead.
For #1 the jury DID find her guilty.
How can we,(the public) expect the jury to sentence her to death for murder, when we can't even PROVE that a murder took place??
Our country just celebrated 235 years with the Constitution that states " INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty".
Before that, we had at the opposite, I think we would all agree that that system didn't work well, probably why we changed it.
I do believe that there is much more to this story, but short of a deathbed confession, I doubt very much that we the public will ever know it all.
