Hey did someone say they were bringing cake to this party???
WC, first off the bad news. Things that go in,,,don't just POP back out and say,,,sorry no harm no foul.
Now for the good news. With that large of an area, there is a good chance most of it will come out if you are careful.
Funny side note. Laura is here with a newly found cold. I just told her about George and Debbie's little deal. Laura said, "Me and George are both sick." LMAO,,,both sick,,maybe you had to be here to hear the plugged up stuffy voice.
Ok, back to George. If you can find a couple of those big suction cups like they move large glass panes of glass around with. I would try that 1st.
2nd choice, remove the inner door trim. Apply pressure with a big old towel wrapped around your hand as close to the center of the dent as possible. Not hitting it, just pressure. Use paint stir sticks taped together and something to pry against the door inner door structure as you push out real gentle. If you had a crow bar, or small pipe, wrap the end and use something like this to push around the edges.
I think you are catching the drift. Use something to protect the metal panel backside, as you slowly work out the dent. The problem is you will try to move the metal too fast, and it will create poke marks from the inside of the door showing pressure points.
If you go slow, you should be able to work it out for the most part. Probably the paint will crack, or be cracked along the sharp edges of the dent. Just use some touch-up paint to seal the cracks down so it can't get moisture behind the paint and start to rust.
Best of luck,,,Get George healed soon!!!
