That is a very interesting and creative engine combination, FHB...when it gets all put together, how 'bout putting some pics up? Good luck on that...Cheers, WC1

Well, I didn't say you weren't crazy <g>, but why be normal? Heck, you could be onto something with that combination...you'll never know if you don't go ahead and give it a try...I for one think it's a great idea! Different, definitely, but it could be a more efficient and economical way to get a thousand-plus horsepower without sacrificing parts to the gods of attrition. Having ideas like that and then following through on them is the kind of stuff that makes drag racing stand out from all other forms of motorsports. Rules ain't handed down unless they're political rules. The racers can interpret their own thing according to what they come up with. This is a lot more inspiring to watch than if you ordered a turnkey motor from Jeg's...Cheers, WC1

i've been researchin turbos for about a year and a half now, and they do seem to be easier on parts than nitrous or blowers, albeit requiring a little more precice tuning. thare's a guy over on turbomustangs.com that has gone 9.70's with a stone stock 100k plus mile 350 in a 3600 lb car with a apir of buick grand national turbos, and a very small amount of nitrous. that's amazing to me and seems to underline how easy on parts turbos are. i hope so 'cause i just can't afford to build a $10000.00 engine twice a year.

glad you guys are still interested in the longest build thread ever  as promised here are pics of my now efi intake, i bought a 3 foot section of fuel rail and 8 injector bungs and built it to how i thought it should look, the only tools i used were a sawzall, drill, die grinder, and a stick welder ( no crap, i stick welded aluminum ) that turbo is one i traded for that has a 116mm inducer wheel .......... problem is it would take a 700+ ci motor to spool it in the amount of time between stage and go, or a lot of nitrous, and that was just more than my little motor would take i thought. i'm ordering the new turbo later this week, it's much better suited to my aplication :D Image Image
