hi guys, i don't know if the new turbo is in yet, i figure it is but haven't been in this part of the state long enough to find out yet. my family and i took a little mini vacation to petit jean state park over the last couple of days. http://www.petitjeanstatepark.com/history/ you can find a lot of the facts about the park at this web address. i got to see some of the most breathtaking scenery of my life ( and remember, i live in the mountains and see this stuff everyday) like as you walk through the breezeway at mather lodge you get this veiw http://image04.webshots.com/4/8/17/14/5 ... Fos_fs.jpg i wasn't paying attention as we rounded the corner, in fact i was reading the info placard about stephen mather. i heard my wive say wow in an awed tone andlooked up to see the beauty before me. then we hiked off of the cliff you are looking off of down stairs carved into the bluff by the civilian conservation corps more than 60 years ago and up cedar creek to cedar falls http://www.petitjeanstatepark.com/image ... iew_tn.jpg . we also hiked in to rock house cave,http://www.petitjeanstatepark.com/image ... e_cave.jpg it's a large overhang really, not really a cave, but it does house many original however faded native american cave paintings estimated to be somewhere around 2000 years old. today was the first time i've ever seen real pictographs in person. the hike in to rock house wouldn't have been bad except for the fact that the bridge was out and we had to hike in using a combination of cedar falls , boy scout, and rock house trails, it took us somewhere around 3 hours to hike in and back. here is a web page that has some good info about them and more importantly pictures ( as you can probably tell by now i didn't take my digital camera) http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/i ... e&ei=UTF-8 we also visited the antique car museam [sp?] which contains among varios and assorted cars from 1915 to 1967, and among them is the ranchero that elvis presley bought as his ranch car when he owned the circle g ranch, also on display is a lincoln continental convertable that was one of jfk's personal cars during his presidency, there is also a 1967 mustang convertable that is still owned by bill clinton. all in all it was a fantastic trip and if you ever get the chance i recomend that you spend a few days there, it's an amazing place

It sounds like a great time! This country sure has some breathtaking sites in all most every area of it!
