The Brown Truck Guy has the coolest stuff! He's always bringing in something great! Way to go, FHB, good luck on this. I know I've already said that, but I can't emphasize enough...Cheers, WC1

thanks, that guy in the brown truck has the coolest go fast parts, i wish i could find his stash. i'm really starting to get excited about this combo now that a steady stream of parts are showing up. i've got a just for fun project started that i'll post pics and describe later, i'm on the laptop now and don't have my camera program installed , trust me this is a retarded thing to do with leftover go fast junk

here are some pics of the just for fun project, actually i've been thinking about doing a little street racing ( i know, i know, street racing is bad mkay, street racing gets people killed mkay) but i also have somewhat of a talent for making a little extra scratch at it too

some guys build cars to look stock and haul ass, mine look ass, haul the whole torso. i haven't put anything together in a few years so i thought it was about time so here are a couple of pics, 1975 chevy swb 4x4, little tires, 406, and a big f'ing turbo. with a truck that looks like this and idles smooth do you think i'll be able to get a race or two?

4x4 is real good for traction on the street too

i got the turbo truck running today, i still have some fuel issues ( like it runs out of fuel at the top of first gear and dies

) to work out, but i know what the problem is and am just waiting on the parts to correct it. this thing hauls the mail once it starts building boost, i can't wait to get it all tuned out, i konw of a couple of ricers that are gonna get SPANKED

i also forgot to clamp all the vacum lines on and blew them all off on this test pass

all in all i'd say it's working out pretty good, a few minor hiccups, but a big improvement overall.

i put the modified carb and the nitrous plate put on tonight, one of the local guys the works at a parts store was hanging out and helping. he's a pretty tough looking guy with tatto sleeves, kind of a thug lookig guy. anyway i had the float levels too high and it flooded out so i took the top off of the carb and reset the float level. when i put the top back on i forgot to hook the fuel line back up so it sprayed fuel all over the intake and firewall. i put the line back on and told kevin to hit it, when he did it went up in flames. he hightailed it out the shop door screaming "oh god oh god oh god" i've had enough carb fires that i don't get real excited about it anymore so i leaned in and blew on it which just flared it up, about this time my suddenly devout friend came running back up to me and yelled " i don't know what to do!!!" i laughed and said i do and grabbed an air nozzle off of the top of my tool box, picked up an air hose and blew the fire out. i've been laughing my butt off ever since. the carb has a wicked tip in stumble, but if you just stob it and hold it it builds boost faster than it used to and blow the tires off at about 20 mph. it still runs out of fuel pretty quick but the fuel pump should be here any day now, and the wastegate and blow off valve are scheduled to be delivered wed.
