Just got the call, the Sin City Vette is going to Eddyville's Night of Fire for the 4th of July race. It is great to be invited and we will do what we need so the car is ready for action. 8)

We are going to be racing The Orange Crate top fueler. Looking forward to that as Radar and Dale are a class act.

Come down and check things out, this race never disappoints!!!!!

Just got back from Camp, and saw you all headed to Eddyville. Wish I had time to get there. Be safe, go fast. See you all in KC. The cart is ready to rock in KC.

Here they are, Late but was tied up all day with the 4th.

Thanks for sending them Al. I also have some of Mike Garlands from Magic Photos in here

Ron Capps was there. He drove the Crop Duster car owned by Frank Ousley "SP" It was good seeing him again, and nice to be remembered. It was set up to let him drive my car if the Crop Duster car didn't get repaired in time.

They did get it fixed, Ron's first time seeing the car resulted in low ET of the funnys. He ran a 3.95 at 180 to beat Doc Halladay's 4-teen at 182. Hell of a run for a new car and stranger for a driver.

Funny how it always looks wilder outside the car rather than inside my office. :D

I think working too long in the heat wore me out. Fell asleep earlier tonight before I got these posted. I will put up some info later.

We made 2-runs. Went A to B, nothing noteworthy as far as times go. In the 2nd race I had some higher hopes to run decent, but the clutch facing came off on the burnout and I didn't run as planed.

I will look tomorrow for a more accurate time slip but I "thiink" it was something like 4.50 or 60 in the 1st round, then slowed to a 5.17 for the 2nd run. Still was fun and it is really nice not putting pistons in every run. ;)

Here are some other magic photos I found around the net.
