ah spring... the time when everything around the house suddenly becomes more important than the race car...

The boss decided the storage barn needed cleaned out and reorganized this weekend. The township was having their annual junk day.. The unfortunate part is the storage barn is not just a little utility shed the back yard - it's a 40x60 barn. We did throw away 2 truck loads of junk and somehow found enough room in the barn so that the mule didn't need to reside in the shop.

We totaled the wife's minivan last week when some yoho decided to cruise through a red light and t-bone us. We spent half of the day Saturday buying a new one. It's amazing how long it takes to get a vehicle - even when we walked onto the lot and said 'We want this one', we were there for nearly 4 hours...

Did a little bit of maintainance to the ole motorhome. She's tired but we're gonna try to nurse her through another year...

Oh - the race car.... Got the rocker stands reamed out so that they'd fit over the new 9/16 head studs (the last engine had 1/2 ones). Got the front cover off and back on with lots of silicone. (forward steps this weekend - just not very many of them  )

Got a call from Troy Coker (NPCA) last night wondering if I could go to Joliet this weekend - he needed 6 B/Gas cars and only had 5. That would have been cool, but the car's not making very much noise yet...

back to work...

Yeah the whole lot of us were in the van. Steve ended up with a bruise on his cheek because he knocked out the side window with his head. Steve and Nathan had stiff necks for a day, but nothing too bad - thank god. The boss wanted a new van anyway, but we really didn't need to go about it in this manner...

Me bitchin' about cleanin the shed? no honey, it's ok, no problem, needed done anyway, I'm not bitchin'..

Must have been the kidz you heard varoomin'. I haven't had time to sit in there.
