well....I am REALLY beginning to dislike that fella, "Murphy"

The UPS truck didn't show up until nearly 7 pm Friday evening with my dzus fasteners.....and they were WRONG!!!! :x :x :x .....Instead of Butterfly style, self ejecting, like were Ordered, we received flush head buttons Only.....They would work great, if I had some dragster panels to attach  ........so I take off to Tim's and pull up to his shop at about 8.30 pm.......He had ALSO ordered some Butterfly dzus fasteners (from a different parts place)and they TOO were shipped out WRONG   .....It wouldn't have been so bad, IF either one of the mis-sent fasteners had been the correct length....but Nooooo....they screwed That up as well....they were ALL too short......(grrrrr!!!!! )

I guess to soften the blow of being SO close yet so far away, our local track decided to be closed both Saturday and Sunday...(Yeah....Right...like the owner was doing "ME" a favor or some such  )......

In the meantime.....we did go over everything and double checked everything else......including doing complete diagnostics on the fuel system, nitrous / timing retard functions and making sure the rpm switch hits the shift solenid when it is supposed to......To coin one of Doc's favorite sayings.....things appear to be Good To Go!!......Just waiting for some "correct" size dzus fasteners, a few rivets and Friday night to show up............Stay tuned 8)

hmmm....I believe I have been "challenged"....

Billy Mac I found an old camaro in Miss. a few weeks ago, I have never watched it make a pass. I traded for it less motor and trans. Have no clue what or how it will run and handle, I am trying to get a baby motor in it now. How about this, you have been dogging me for 5 years, I will work over time next week to get this rag running. Meet me at Phenix City and lets get it on. All motor no spray( I don,t want to spray a baby motor with 0 passes on it) also have no idea how the car will handle. However if you can,t make it, don,t take me up on my deal and put a lot of work on an old man.

This Fella^^...Is none other than the "Alabama Outlaw", David Goodson.
BP probably knows him well from the Classic Thunder days...I just need to get my ducks in a row and beg, borrow or steal a tow vehicle to get me to Phoenix City this Sunday..........Stay tuned
