8) I would love to read about the car when you get time to tell the story. The how why what where when... combo, E.T's speed round wins etc.You may have talked about it years ago but i would enjoy a refresher !!

I'll try and get some info up for you in the near future, Jim.

If you remember the pic of a Pinto funny car called the "Rough Rider" among the pics that purple66bu posted a few months ago, that is the same car.

I thought I'd put a quick update in here. Yesterday I had the privilege of going on a road trip with Tom Motry.
We went to Gary Dyers shop for a bit and then went and picked up a set of headers from a powder coater.
After that, we went to Strange Engineering and picked up my new rear end housing, floaters, and axles. They are some nice pieces.
I like the way the new housing is braced inside and out.
It's gonna be nice to climb in there and not wonder about the ancient hubs and studs and such.
Oh yeah, I even have new brackets and rotors to go along with the BRAKE calipers I bought a couple of years ago!!

Spending the day with Tom was really entertaining and educational.
For those of you who haven't met him, he is a really nice guy. Always ready to lend a hand and help out.

Here's a link to a pic of my Mustang, back in the day. Obviously it's the one in the far lane.

Cool deal Rocky. Decided to go for the floaters.

Yes pro, I did. In the end, I figured it was best to use the floaters, not only from a safety angle, but also for resale, and mostly, because I was concerned that the rules might be changed to require them.
They cost more, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Rocky, that is some fantastic news! I am glad you got to get some parts. If I remember right, it was the rear end deal that was keeping you off the track. Congrats!!! 8)

Rock, glad to hear your floating now. LOL. You will like it so much better to work on, plus you won't be sending any axles out in the crowd. Now get those BRAKES fixed.
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.
