What? Actually trying to get a baseline and chasing the altitude at the same time wasnt real fun. It went from 3200 to 4884 and 81%AD.I never touched the timing at all till Sat. Only had 34 degrees in it as i wanted to get thefuel correct first. !st pass on Sat i had a .124 main in it but only a .060 hi speed at 85 lbs. It was still rich on the upper rpms(blowing fuel out the pipes) and only ran a 8.70 154 shuting off at around 1200 ft. The last pass of the day because the track operators were screwed up and wouldnt let T/Os run till after 3rd rd of elims was at 10pm i think and even tho the air was cooler it was still 4540 DA and only 82% AD. I took .015 additional hi speed out @ .085 and told him to try and launch higher along with a coup;e of degrees timing thrown at it and it hit the tires real hard and the wheelie came up along with a hard left turn at the tree.I know he was off the throttle for at least 3/4 of a sec and it still ran a 8.92 154.
Im surprised i could even function as Fri i had to work till 6:30 and then clean up and drive to track getting their at 8:00 pm. After getting home at 2:30 am i got up at 6:00 and flew down to Ponca City,Okla for breakfast and got back around 10:00 am. Refueled and flew to the track and had to wait for the crew till 12:30 pm and then mess around all day and try to race. Got home at 4:00 am and Went to work at 8:00 am and got done around 7:30 pm.So my wkend was full. Im still realing! What i believe is that the engine needs a taller gear as its not like tuning a Kb or a chevy. They flat dont like high rpms other than out of 1st gear. Ive done everything i can think of to this engine to make it work.More comp(14.7)the correct camshaft for the app, bigger fuel pump so i wont run out of pump. Next on the list is gear and around 20% to get it to wake up.

Billy, it's got a 4.10 in an 8-3/4 mopar. The car weighs 1300lbs, and acts like it's not phasing the engine, like it wants to grunt down low and mid rpm. It will go past 8000 but at 6000 to 7000 it's really pulling hard!! And I mean Hard!!

while I certainly ain't no expert on the subject...."I" would try to find a mid 300 gear....(340-355-36 anything) and make the converter work for you....
"might" make the fuel settings a PITA for Leon...but what the hey...the fuel settings are already a PITA for Leon....so no harm no foul....LOL

Yeah Billy, I believe you are right, a guy could put a 3.55 gear in it and leave high on the convertor , it may settle it down on the launch a tad and would pull like a bear at the big end. Then, like Leon said, we could add some percentage possibly. It's a little violent on the launch with the 4.10's. It has a 13.00 x 33 tire now. As light as it is, I'm pretty sure it would pull a tall gear.

you "might" even consider as high as a 320 (ish) gear....depending on the availability of such an animal......grunt it down low....and hang on for dear life on the big end
