Well considering I left my nitrous bottles at home, I didn't do too bad. I have a few very minor things to change. The inspector wants me to move my fire extinguisher outlets closer to the center of the engine, my new flywheel wasn't here yet, and my throttle linkage didn't return by itself. When I go back on the 6th of May for my first pass of the season, all I have to do is bring the paperwork to him and he will sign off. Other than that, he was very impressed with the quality of the work, and hopes to see the car make some noise this season.

Oh, the hood, scoop, and bumpers look GREAT!! I'll post some pics tomorrow morning, I'm beat right now.

I'm doing my best to get some pictures up, but I just can't seem to get to it. I should have time in the morning.

I had a small issue with the tech guy about my fire extinguisher nozzles. To describe it will be easier with the pictures I have.

As a side note, I'm waiting for the new paint to dry on the board, so the opening day got bumped back a little.

Now, my issue with the tech man had to do with the exit points for the extinguisher nozzles. If there happens to be a fire, where is the most likely area that this will happen. My gut tells me that this would happen at the sides of the engine where oil, or fuel will come in contact with the hot headers. With that in mind, I mounted one nozzle in each corner of the radiator support, where the fenders meet. The nozzles have a fan type of spray pattern that would aim at the front and side of the engine. Makes sense right?.

The tech man says NO! They must be mounted right next to the radiator aiming at the front of the engine, towards the water pump. I say why? I don't remember the last time I saw a water fire! Oh well, he's the "man" so I changed them to where you see them in the pictures.

Please let me know your opinion on this.

Ooops, I almost forgot, the big brown truck stopped by my house yesterday while I was at work and left me a package. WOOHOO!!

I should be getting another delivery very shortly.

Now I can fill my own bottles!

I now have a new resting place for the bottles, thanks to the tech man also. I kind of like them here now too. They used to be standing up right against the door bars.
