I mean, SHEESH...you would "think" that a buck 16 in the 1/8th mile would at least "feel" fast :roll: ......(ok.....maybe not for that Baker fella or the "Animal" or Mr. Gator.....but possibly for the rest of us mere mortals :wink: )
It sure is fun huh? It get's boring after a while though. :lol:

Ya know, Mike....I really don't know what I "expected" (perhaps for the durn thing to go sashaying all over the place).....but what I experienced was absolutely like a Sunday drive......Seeing the 5.99(99) on the time slip kinda flabbergasted me, because it felt like such a ho-hum pass. I do know that I shallow staged so thin that the bottom bulb was flickering, and That is (I'm sure) the difference between what I see on the slip and a 6.0-something. 8)

I know there is more in the ol' girl....we (Tim and I) have just got to locate the right combination.........Stay tuned! 8)

Well, it's official :cry: ......as of about 3:45 pm on Wednesday afternoon....Clyde is Dead.....Rods through the oil pan, Dead!!
The ol' boy got me to to within a mile of Tim's shop, and was actually still running, but at the intersection I was at, there was no room on the shoulders for me to get out of the road, and I figured it would be best to let Clyde die with at least a "little" dignity and shut it off there.......besides, I didn't want to get run over by a semi if Clyde's ticker quit tickin in the middle of that busy highway :shock: .......

I am not sure if I will have any kind of Memorial Service other than just all my fond (and some not quite so fond :evil: )memories and the pages here on the Board.

As a p.s. to this......I did get the gears changed out in Peggy and am trying to get some of the tools and equipment swapped out and in my other van...(that also is having "issues" about cranking :evil: :evil:{enter one or two of Pro60's "banghead" and "cussing" smilies here}
Stay tuned

well, if I can't make it to Eddyville to get me a bellyfull of Yella Caah, at least I can take Peggy to my local track and stretch her legs a bit this weekend....

A good buddy of mine has made it possible for me to go do some testing this coming Sunday, and another has volunteered to tow me up there. Yet another (and his fiance') has promised to take some video and some stills.....
I wonder if they will let me change the signs at US 19 for the day???(LOL)....Jeez, I'm gonna miss yoose guys next weekend :cry:
