That IS awesome, man...I would say it's a coincidence that it turned up, but it's starting to look like this is what you were destined to have...Cheers, WC1

Thanks guys on finding My ramp truck,.......

I ve got good news and bad news,....
good news is that all my parts are back and i can reassemble
my 505 BBC,....
The bad news is that apon inspecting the bores on the 505,
I have found the cylinders to be qiute out of round and
needing to go back to the machine shop to be rehoned w/plate.
I am thinking these guys bored my cylinders within a week of hard block the block, and did not allow ample time for the cement to harden up,..
or,...they honed each cylinder one right afteranother on the same bank
rather than boring one cylinder then going to the other side and
boring another then coming back to the original side and doing the
next bore.,..the cement will expand a little messing with the bores,.
and also when boring a cylinder the heat will transfer to the next cylinder
changing the bore diameter,...Basterds...
my heads,..purchased from the same machine shop threw Dart,..
the springs are good to .790 lift max..the cam they installed is
a .817/.800 woops thats too big...duhhhhhh so anyways i have a few week valve spirings and the cam looks like it has 70 runs on it as apposed to 7 dyno pulls,......so off to the machine shop again.
this is not looking good to running my vega this year,..we will see.

on another note,. Trader Slick Vic will be racing with Clint Thompson
for the rest of the year,..dates are as follows

D-6 Acton,Montana.....aug 17-19
D-7 Bakersfield, CA...sept, 7-8
NHRA Powerade,..Dallas, TX...Sept, 20-23
D-4 Noble, OK,..Oct 12-14
NHRA Powerade, Pomona, CA...Nov 1-4

I will keep ya posted
thanks
Vic

Well,..he he he..I got my block and heads back from the
machine shop,..I just picked up my injection fuel system
and magneto from Spud Miller, I have installed the new Milodon
gear drive unit and installed the cam shaft and have been piecing
the motor back together,..it is finally ready to tear it back down
for one final cleaning and put the motor back in the frame rails and
then plumb the fuel lines and install the fuel tank.
