Friday the 14th of May will be the season opener at Pittsburgh Raceway Park in New Alexandria for the Pittsburgh Pro Mod series. It's 1/8th mile, heads-up Pro tree racing and only the quickest 8 cars get in to race. Gates open at 5:00 and the first TT is at 6:30. There is a $1000 bonus for the first door car in the 3's. The Pittsburgh Pro Mod race will be held in conjunction with the Box/No-Box racing that evening. One of the local Pittsburgh television stations, Fox 53 will be there taping the racing action. So it might be a good time to get your sponsor some air time.

Wow... what times we are living in! Pro Mods up the road in Pittsburgh, Mountain Motor Nationals (ON THE QUARTER MILE) in Budds Creek, and the Best of Times, Draglist Nats in Richmond! WOW... drag racing is healthy, folks. bp

That's right Bill. Now if we can get the spectators out to see these fabulous shows. I know there won't be a problem with that at MIR. Folks down that way love their doorslammer action. It's tough here in the northeast trying to cram all our racing action into maybe 4-5 months a year and then when Mother Nature decides shes going to promote her own program, it makes for a promoters nightmare.
