Hey folks... I want to tell you about something special going on for you real hardcore "old skool" drag racin' oriented guys 'n' gals-- It's called THE DIGS AT E'TOWN and it's an "alternative" sort of "old skool" drag gathering at Raceway Park... It all happens on Saturday Nights (July 3rd, August 7th & September 4th)... THE DIGS AT E'TOWN is for pre-war hot rods-- 50's & 60's kustoms & Detroit muscle thru '74... Yep, gassers & greasers, street freaks & straight axles-- these special Saturday night shindigs are for YOU-- It's TRUE "old skool" that'll blow your mind on overtime!!... There's a live DJ spinning the coolest tunes (the kind of music you hear on Robert Williams' CHROME SMOKE & FIRE 2 record set!)-- Not the same-old same-old wishy washy over commercialized and over-played music of the 50's, no-siree-bob!!-- We're talkin' the real kool "old skool" rockin' tunes!!... And there's cold beer and great food too!!... Helmets required for all racers-- All cars on the drag strip must have street legal mufflers... This all takes place at E'Town's hip 1/8th mile strip, so you enter at the Old Bridge Airport Gate #4... Only $12 to get in, $20 to drag, kids 6-11 $5, kids under 5 are Free... Been getting a lot of feedback and phone calls from guys wanting to match up and get something locked in. It's going down on the 21st of August in the Alamo City. Call me if you want to match up or are looking for somebody to match up with and I will see what I can find for you. Looking for some 7.0 class racers too. Atomic Dog 512.775.6563

The old members of the Platte Valley Custom Club and the Customettes invite all former members and their families to a day of gathering and remembering the former drag machines, sharing photos, club memorabilia, movies, etc.

Relive what was possible when members had a goal to build and run the "oldest drag strip" in the United States.

Hope to see you on September 11, 2010, at the Sedgwick County Fair Grounds, 1700 County Road 41 5/10, Julesburg, Colorado, at 10:00 a.m., where the first drag race was held in August 1953.

J.R. BBQ will be on site so the party can last as long as the food and or as long as we're still having fun!

If you know of any racers who raced at the Platte Valley strip between 1955 and 1975, please invite them.
