Just realized I haven't been listing to any music for weeks now so we'll just stick that good old Woodstock tape in the VCR right now without even rewinding it......
Excellent choice! First thing I hear is Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner - Kind of appropriate considering today's date.

I heard a lot of great stuff over the weekend while ripping CDs to MP3s... it's the way to go, gang. Woodstock was actually one of the CDs. Goin' up the Country by Canned Heat and Soul Sacrifice by Santana are stuck in my head! bp

Mozart on PBS...arias, operas, etc...it's his 250th birthday celebration. It is absolutely AWESOME stuff, folks...they got a procession of singers coming out and sitting in with a chamber orchestra...baritones, (he was incredible), tenor, right now it's the redhead soprano. The fat lady ain't sung yet. This is using the voice as an instrument...same as a violin or a flute...and the way they do this guy's music is great...funny, sad, dramatic and expressive...extremely complicated music...wish I was recording it...classical musicians are every bit as bad as rock musicians are, I found out. They just wear tuxedos and play sitting down...but they raise all kinds of hell when the gig is over...the worst of the lot; the hardest-living, craziest of all I ever met and hung out with are jazz cats...I'd be dead by now if I was jazz. Next in line from them are country musicians...Cheers, WC1
