Very nice. A simple fuel system and an automatic trans. I wonder if it was a 2 speed or a 3 speed??

Thanks guys I love the pics,..just think if they
would have been in color,..OH...BOY...

That tranny was short lived,.I believe it was a
B&M HYDROSTATIC 3 SPD which they pulled out
after testing and Ken put in the Lenco 3 spd.

Great project Vic!

I saw on another site the crap answering your post re: the nhra thing next year...some of those moronic clowns & wannabee / never were's ,are the rudest, crudest bastards I've ever read anywhere. ( I wouldn't ever share anything with those creeps)
I hope you take that beautiful car out, race, enjoy it in 2008.
(my opinions)

Most of those A'holes "pose", or "are building" some project that never races...
Your deal is Great!

You definitely own a very big and important piece of our history, Vic! Can't think of a better guy to shoulder that job...your car ROCKS, man! I really think the way it all came together for you, that it was meant to Bee! Can't wait for a race report! Cheers, WC1 8)

Thanks guys,..
Although it is not restored to original condition, Right now,..
,..hehehehe,..
(just think if I had got these pics 6 months ago.)

NEWS FLASH,....
I have robbed the bank and have got a way with the lute.
The vega will be finished over next 2 months, and I will be
heading south with Vics Vega to the March Meet.
I will be trying to get there 1 week ahead of the Meet to test
the car and try and get it dialed in.
I will be trying to run in the NE-1 class, which I have been reading
is a very extremly tight group of alot of diggers running dead on
the 7.60 index, with ease,.(Vic praying for the other guy to red light)

I do not dought that my Vega will run better than 7.60 on alky
so there is no need to be tipping the can. All I can say
is, I have my hands full and its going to be one hell of trial and test
on my part,...waiting to exhale.........

and if all goes well,..I will throw 30 %
at it just for the hell of it.. and see what happens..
