Yeah - I'm on the rubber saving plan - my goal is to run 1 set of front tires for the rest of my life - so I have to limit the amount of asphalt they see.
Yeah, I was on the rubber saving plan once, my daughterwas the result!  OOPS, can I say that?
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

What is the combination on this engine? I ran a c/g 49 Anglia yrs ago. It was a 3 in box channel frame with a 58 olds rear that had summers axles and henrys spool with hurst airheart brakes. It had a 4 link with watts linkage and coil over konis. the front was a dropped tube axle with watts linkage and coil over konis. The axle, linkage, coils, driveshaft hoop, rear housing, wheelie bars, watts linkage, and rear tube bumper were all chrome. It had a 100 lb cat battery in the trunk. The interior was button tufted naugahyde on the seats and the firewall and rear along with 4130 hanging pedals and 4130 steering tube(chrome of course). It had the normal glass stuff, doors rear fenders, deck lid,frt end along with magnesium 5 spoke americans on the frt (polished) and ansen sprints on the rear. Had a 331 pro stock engine and a super T-10 and 5:57 and 5.86 gears. It was a multitude of colors fading from 1 to the other top to bottom. I bought it from the original owner/builder who built it in 65 and ran an injected small block.Thayne Porlier in Tacoma,Wash of Porlier Speed Specialists did all of it including paint and upholstery.Ran around 10.12s on a 10.10 record.Had 400 lbs of lead bolted in the car to make class i believe around 19 something. I bought it as a roller in 1971. easy to drive as it only required 2 fingers on the wheel when leaving at 8400.

Dang Leon - I'm humbled now.... sounds like it was pretty car 8)

I've got a 2x3" tube frame under mine. Ford 9" with 4.56 gears tied to the frame with ladder bars. Front suspension is mustang-II style a-arms. Rear slicks are 29x12 M&H's. No chrome anywhere - the entire chassis is mat black. Interior is aluminum where I've re-done it, black sheet metal on what is left from the previous owner. Everything is steel except the glass front clip.

Tranny is a powerglide with a 1.80 low gear.

Engine is an early hemi. Donovan aluminum block, Mastadon aluminum heads with Canode rockers. 4.030 bore with 4.200 stroke (429 ci). 7.125" long BME rods with Arias pistons to give me about 11:1 compression ratio. Unstripped 6-71 blower with 15% overdrive. Hilborn 4 port upright injector fed with an Enderle 110 pump. Fired with a Crane HI-8 ignition.
