The Comfort Inn,,641-672-0375. Mention the track and the racer rate for the $59.00 per nite rate.

Anybody who is coming should call and get a room that needs one. I don't want anybody left out.

I might have just realized a way that I could go to Eddyville. I called my sister today; she lives in Kansas City. We talked about my Dad's situation. He is less than a half-step away from a nursing home at this point, in a steep and rapid (no pun intended) decline...it's painful to see him in the condition he's in. She saw him a month ago and he was looking pretty good to me then, but she was still shocked...well, he said he's thinking about quitting driving now...I told my sister, he ain't thinking about it, he IS...he ain't getting that Focus back. He's giving it to her now. I'm going to drive it up there and drop it off with her in Kansas City. She'll probably give me her Hyundai Escape to take back. I'll drive it up to Eddyville and say howdy and then come back in it and donate it to charity or something. That is, if it can wait till July. But...No way my Dad's getting back in that car. I'd take the Buick too, but I have a feeling he's going to start banging it into stuff right away and he'll have to get rid of it, too. Probably give it to either Miss Debby or my stepsister Jackie...I can't tell him anything he'll listen to. I'm a 5-year-old to him. A doctor or a judge...somebody who has actual authority over him...can tell him to stop driving and he will...but not me or Sylvia...WC1

EXCELLENT idea, Cat....Drive the Focus around a bit (just to keep things lubed, of course

)....then when July gets here....ROADTRIP!!!
