love the city of joliet . lets plow the snow in the middle of the street , I had some vollunteers help move a pile of snow pack that was 20 ' wide by 6 ' tall ,we shoveled it by hand as someone (me) left his snow blower in the storage unit yesterday ( DUH ...) after we got it shoveled my contactor who plows finally was able to get his truck thru the units and get the main drives clear . City got 5+ calls from the HOA members and 2 from me . thank goodness no emergencys requiring a firetruck or ambulance , as they would have never gotten thru . but one thing that miffs me is they plowed up to the businesses that don't pay taxes ( TIF district) and salted the street and those places where closed today) today makes looking for july alot better !

I need to make our reservations. I was going to do it last Friday but I had a procrastinators quarterly meeting and time got away from me.

For the early arrivers to consider: Rapid mentioned that the Court Avenue, district of downtown Des Moines is very nice. The neighborhood has its own little brewery. Also the river runs through this area with many cool bridges crossing it.

checked into flights last thursday HOLY CRAP!! have they gone up! We're going to leave it for a month to see if there are any discounts
