Bob, I wonder how many of us are in that club with the burn deal. Like I said, it will all of a sudden just give up and go down the track, your like me, too stubborn for that not to happen!! I simply sit in the trailer and have a one on one with the car, the conversation goes something like this, "resistance is futile, you are just prolonging the enevitable". After that, they usually cooperate.
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

DAMN! That hurts just to look at it!!!! Looks medium-to-well-done...you got branded, man...thing about burns is they don't stop hurting. The Paris Hilton part of it looks third-degree. Keep an eye on it (I don't see how you couldn't keep an eye on it...) shoot, you know what to do...I just hope it heals up good, Bob. Sorry that happened. The car is getting closer to making a pass. Thanks Cat

Well folks our dumb luck continues  I am starting to think this car hates me :?
We get to the track unload the car check everything over, prelube the valve train, fill the car with alky etc!, fire the car up check to make sure the trans shifts in to forward & reverse, it does, double check the trans brake it works (or it did) more on that soon.
Drop the car down and head to the staging lanes. Hurry up and wait seems like everybody is breaking something today.
Well it is finally our turn, I start the car, walk around the car to check for leaks, run my hand over the top of the headers to make sure all cylinders are firing etc, I wave Steve forward to the burnout box the car doesn't move, I wait a couple of secs. still doesn't move WTF!!!! I give Steve the signal to shut it off.
Here we go again.
Drag the car back to the pits, check a few things, start the car again still no luck the trans will not shift into forward or reverse.
So we pull the Lenco out and start taking the BRT converter drive apart, the trans brake band & drum/hub are fried. Just fricken great, another shot at our license upgrade wasted due to parts failure. Anyone got a hemi clutch can for sale? I'll cure this problem real quick by running something I actually know something about. Don't know squat about converter drives but I do know clutches.
The BRT instructions didn't say anything about pressure for the trans brake air solenoid so Steve called them to ask and they said anything between 150 - 200 PSI
We decided since the air pods on the Lenco require 150 PSI we would use 150 PSI for the trans brake (bad idea) come to find out.
New parts will be ordered on Monday for the trans brake & another air bottle will be ordered & installed with a 200 psi regulator just for the trans brake.
Thanks for taking time to read my "what I did this weekend tales" :)

I'm with ProZ on that, Bob, but I was just glad to see a post from you...I was concerned about that burn you got. It looked nasty. I've been saying something you taught me in one of your posts a while back, every day. "If God leads you to it, God will lead you through it." Thanks, WC1
