New old guy here. Retired and loving it. I bought a Chevy Monza a few months ago for $100. Couldn't pass it up. I was going to build it for Bonneville but decided to go drag racing instead. (Bonneville is 1300 miles away and I can only run there a couple of times a year. There is a 1/8 mile drag strip 22 miles away and I can race there every Saturday night.) The body is in fair shape. I've bought the frame rails and four-link brackets and tubs and will start on the back half as soon as I get the heat situation sorted out in my garage. I have a narrowed (39") Ford 9" and a 400 Chevy block. I'm thinking about building a 406. It's a beginning. This is a two year project. I'm retired military and now drawing Social Security too so I'm on a fixed income making this a somewhat long range project. I'll be checking in here daily to glean whatever information I can and ask questions, some stupid, some relatively informed.
