Going up to Michigan on Saturday to pick up the block.
Pistons, pins and rings arrived yesterday.
Took the heads and valves over to the machine shop to get touched up Friday.
Sent the 'short' oil pump back. I found someone over on classic that had a pump that's the right length - and a pan to match - they're on their way. After looking at where the Titan hangs, it requires a bulge in the pan - I figured it was easier to get a pan that will fit around it than to try to modify the back of my pan to fit. Of course I'll still have to modify the front of the pan to fit in the car - but hopefully the piece of aluminum that I bent up for the other pan will work with the new one. (of course that means that I'm going to take the jig saw to a brand new billet-fab pan

)
I found out that the only intermediate shaft that Titan makes is for a stock length 392 distributor. I'm running a small block distributor with is a little shorter. I'm going to have to get a longer shaft or a 392 distributor... (it never ends with this guy....

)
On the other end of the car...
I pulled the rear end apart - I figured I'd try running a higher gear this year to keep the screams of mercy down a little bit. The gears have sharp edges pulled up on them on both the back and front of the tooth. I'm not sure what that means, but I'm putting a new gear in it anyway...
If anyone has a good 4.11 pro-gear that they don't need let me know.
That's about all the news that's fit to print for now...
