Well...O.K. Ron.  I had some time to kill over noon today so I tracked down a company that will make a fiberglass repop dash for me. Sounds like a couple weeks out. Yea Mike, you know that I know how that goes sometimes.  Then I gave Kevin a call at AM and ordered a pair of wheel tubs. I was on a roll so I ordered a set of bear claws from McAnis Performance {Thanks for the tip Mike}. I figured why stop there, so I called Harwood and had them ship out a deck lid. I had just enough time left for 1 more call, so I gave Jerry Bickel a jingle and ordered needle bearing type u joints for the steering. Can't steer without a steering wheel so I ended up the noon hour by ordering a Mark Williams steering wheel with a trans brake button. Or maybe it'll be a co2 shift button? Ann E. Way. I've got some stuff on the way.

I problee' shouldn't say nuttin' cuz' it could just come back N' bite me, but, I had a change of schedule for tomorrow, and , even though I'll problee' pay for it next week, I'm thinkin' I might play hookie' tomorrow and work on the "Z" instead of workin' on the next job on the list. I can't remember the last time I had a whole day to spend on whatever I want.

Well, I got a good share of a day in on the "Z". Had a few customers drop off & pick up stuff, but that was purdy' much over by noon. I finished up the rocker panel body mounts & then started on the firewall. I used my trusty Menard's laser to mark out where I wanted to cut it. Then chopped off 46 lbs. of stuff. (If you count the 20lbs. I cut off a couple weeks ago. Spent a lot O' time figuring how I'm gonna' put the firewall back together.   I think I have a plan so everything looks like it's spoz' to be there.
Then I stuck the front end on to see how it fit with the firewall out of the way. I had some real clearance issues before but now that the pinch welds are out of the way it fits much better. There's gonna be a bunch of work to do on the fiberglass once I start that project.
All in all it was a purdy' good day.
