You know it's been awhile since my last update when I had to page down to find my topic in the list
I thought I'd give you guys an update of where I am - or not as the case may be.

Got word from the machine shop yesterday that my block is in the mill. That's got to be better than on the floor, which is where it's been for the last 6 weeks. This was good news!

Got a new gear for the rear end (3.89 - it was a 4.56) and have the rear end back together and ready to hang back under the car.

After lots of analysis I've found a cam/spring combination that I like. I've got to do one more double (ok - triple) check on valve to valve clearance with the cam that I plan to use, then order some valve springs.

Looks like I need to fab an oil pump drive. Titan only makes drives that mesh with the standard 392 distributor. I'm running a small block distributor, which is a bit shorter. I figured it would be cheaper to make my own drive shaft than to get a new distributor from MSD...

Lots of things to do - I've got to stop letting that recliner suck me in after dinner

I actually got the rear end bolted into the car last night - I walked right around that old recliner.

We have a block!!

We have valve springs that will work with the cam I want to run!

We have a machine shop whining that the counter weights on my crank have too much mallory in them and are too heavy...
