We are thinking about you and everyone else, Purple...

Just had nice breakfast at the Joliet Comfort Inn South... lots of drag racers in town for the Division 1 race at Joliet. I had no idea the NHRA was in town.... did a few meets and greets in the hotel breakfast bar. Good luck to all the competitors... race safely and get those qualifying runs in quickly today... looks kinda cloudy! bp

Cmon now BP........You are now in division 3, not division1......You can take the guy out of the east coast, but you can't take the east coast out of the guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL :D

It was great meeting Denise and Emily last night and seeing everyone else again. Wish I was able to go with you guys. Drive safely and enjoy yourselves.

Just got back from dinner. Too late for hot tubs or presents or anything... just time for Family Guy on TV and bedtime... Dinner was great with Bandit, Pro70Z28 and his wife Cheryl, and eventually... ROCKY! We had a great time talking and eating pizza, chicken wings, and other good stuff. Cheryl, Denise, and Emily occupied one end of the table and Gary, Jim, Jason, and I were at the other end talking 'guy drag racing talk.' Great to see everyone and we'll get to see all but Rocky at the draglist nats!!! bp
Sounds like good chow and good company. Called all over to get someone's phone number so's I could call at the pizza joint and have someone save me a piece or two of pizza. Rapid gave me Gary's number and I called and called but no connecting to a live body. Seems he was busy or apparently his phone was froze up due to AC. Pictures are required or you guys will fail the test at the end of the DL Nats. Oh you didn't know there was going to be a test..... ??? Oh it was Bandit's fault? Yeah we've heard it all before. Well I might believe it was Bandit's fault thought!     Enjoy.

OK, next leg of the trip complete. We are here at the Comfort Inn in Oskaloosa, Iowa, after a death defying NASCAR race along I-80 only to hit Route 63 South, which required us to ssssslllllooooowwww down! Got the kids in the pool and I'm ready to start meeting and greeting. We should figure out a place to get together for dinner and to sketch out tomorrow's activities... or should that take place at the track tonight? Don't you love our military precision in setting this up? Randy is the man with the plan, so I'm looking forward to seeing him tonight, along with everyone else. bp

Things are moving... just met with Jer and Cheryl. Norb Locke is down in the lobby and Bandit and Billy Mac are on their way. Gonna maybe meet at a place called Spaghetti's to sketch out tomorrow's activities and maybe will go out to the track tonight. Playing it by ear... bp
