Billy, bear with e cause I'm trying to type with one eye and sunglasses on, Tim is getting rid of his car and trailer and stuff? Thought I;d bring it over here.

Thank You, everyone, for your thoughts and prayers....It really means alot....and to a certain degree makes ME feel even closer to y'all.

Yes...Tim has the car and the trailer for sale....(I removed the lettering from the trailer last night ).......He has been wanting to sell out for some time...and then this happened.
Don't get the wrong impression, however, Tim is NOT quitting racing....just not at the level that he was "trying" to compete.....He said last night, that his current trailer (a 28' Stacker) was causing "noises" in his motorhome......the trailer itself is pretty heavy and then when you strap down two cars in there...well...you get the idea. He wants to get a smaller 28' tag along that won't be quite as heavy.
He has (in the back shop) a '72 Nova that he is in the process of putting together ...It will have a 406 sbc in it...with a couple of doses of giggle juice plumbed into it......He's hoping to be able to run 6.0's (1/8h mile) on the motor....and perhaps also run the 5.30 class (with and against me) OR....He may run the EZ Street class.....
All of this is "easily" reachable....and a LOT less expensive than trying to keep up with the front-runners in 10.5 Outlaw.....(THAT mess has gotten outrageous!!!!!$$$$$ )

Wait just a dadgum minute...this is MY thread!!! ......well...shoot....shame I ain't got any new tidbits of info to report from the Peggy Camp....but then again....I "reckon" Tim IS part of that too....so....(LOL).........Ooooops...gotta get back to work now

Billy thanks for the update glad to hear Tim's still gonna race! Sometimes ya hafta take a step back and look at yer deal, I know. Thanks Billy.

Glad yer peeper is on the mend, Lip......seems like the phrase..."been there done that" is pretty common amoungst a majority of us....

well.....while I wait for the brown truck to deliver some sign supplies.....I have been tinkerin'.........
pieces for the steel firewall are cut out, fitted, bead rolled and ready for installation......actually going to have two firewalls.....one steel the other lumynum...(I already had THAT one done and ready).....the steel will be on the inside of the firewall.....towards me in the seat.....when the hood or the frontend is off, folk's'll see the shiny black lumynum.
IF the weather holds.....going to take everything back over to Tim's this weekend (His suggestion) for final welding of the chassis.....additional brackets and tabs here and there....and then sandblast /prime and paint the chassis..............things are gettin' closer boys and girls

It is with tears in my eyes and a very heavy heart, that I report bad news from the West/Pegasus Race Cars home front....Yesterday afternoon, my partner Tim's (the "West" of West/Pegasus) 19 year old son was killed in a motorcycle accident.

I don't know all the details (and wouldn't post them if I did) but Tim and his wife are both pretty much basket cases right now. (I ain't too much better myself....)

I reckon its a "one day at a time" kinda thing.....(or even one moment at a time).......some are going to be better than others.....I "think" he'll be ok......but his mind is all over the place.....
