I was sitting on the edge of my seat here reading about your fire-up, Billy...hoping for the best and it came through! Iron Pegasus is ready! It's been a saga, and it sure isn't over by a long shot! I still lament your trip to Eddyville having to be turned around. You were running good enough to seriously contend, and the car is still 100% ready to rock 'n roll. You've handled this car judiciously and with great care and concern. I hope you can get out this Spring and make some passes and really start shaking 'er down. As you've told me, the car is still pretty much brand-new and fresh out of the box yet. Once you're able to tweak it here and there, run it through part of a full season, I believe you'll be shooting from the hip later this year. Good luck and stay safe. Cheers, WC1

Thanks, Y'all.
I have a ton of plans in my head....it just remains to be seen whether they fall out of one of my ears or not

...for the time being though...those ideas just bounce around in there like a bb in a boxcar....

I snuck off and took Peggy to my local track Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend. Peggy pretty much ran what Peggy normally runs in the heat (Mid to high 5.80's) I entered a 5.70 index race on Saturday...In a field of 8 cars, I qualified 5th, with a 5.84. Unfortunately, for me, I had to run the #2 qualifier (5.709) in the first round. It didn't take long for me to get my backside handed to me...at the hit I was knawin' on the hind teet...his .4461 easily bested my .4839. At the top end he was woofin' the loud pedal on me to the tune of a 5.7958 to my skating around 5.8843. I "could" try to blame the track conditions (slippery to "iffy" from half track on) but I'll just man-up and say I got whooped and let it go at that. Its not like the guy got a virgin in that endeavor. As has become the norm with Peggy (knock wood) I loaded 'er up under power and am ready to do it again sometime soon....'possibly' this weekend (but I ain't holdin my breath

).
