Vic,

Silly question here, but do you know for sure that Veney didn't add that spoiler?

Eric, I am positive Veney did not add it to the car, it was
added on by Jack Cambra the 2nd car owner, they also put
a blown alky motor in it and made about 5 passes in it and couldnt
keep the front wheels on the ground and parked it and bought another
Vega out of Texas.

Bill,... wasnt bad at all,..from pushing the car out, to putting
it back in was about 2 hours. the peeling of the paint only took
about 30 minutes to do the deck lid.

Thanks Pappy Kinda wish I was back east too. Im all by myself out here
and it will usually take me 2 or 3 days to find a few guys to lift the
body off when I need to,..LOL...so ive made it a habit of not taking the body off.
suppose to rain more threw out the week and into the weekend so I guess I am done for a while AGAIN,...

Well the weather man was wrong today AGAIN,

..it was sunny......... 8) 8) 8)

Some more progress,....3 1/2 hours later and my new found friend
from out of the kitchin,..say hello to my little spatula,.. :P
Man did this thing do the job great,..so I am 98% stripped of all
the paint. Now I will wait till I get the body off and after I make a body
stand to be able to work on the lower sections and then start wet sanding
the primer then block it out, prime again,..block it,..and who knows what else,...this whole deal was made easy do to the fact that someone did a complete vynal wrap on this car,..maybe it was Cambra, but any ways the vynal was not removed and had 5 different paint jobs on top of it.
The only disapointment was that there was not much red to be founde or the lettering of Veneys Vega except around the window trim and grille area, oh well,..we already have seen the grille episode.

Hopefully I will start paint in 3-4 weeks

so heres todays picks...

Vic

That's amusing that someone would have painted over the vinyl wrap, but it sure makes your work easy.

Paint over a wrap? Sounds like you got very lucky there. Thanks for sharing your progress Vic. Hope the weather continues to go your way for working up there. 8)

Not that I want to keep bragging about putting a new nut and bolt on my
car or anything un important like that, and what not,.... :?

But here is a chunk I peeled of the car that is about5 x 5 inches
and shows the paint colors and number of colors, so including the
clear coat ontop of the blue there is 9 total layers.
Color #3 white was painted on the car just before Tyler Taba bought the car in 1992, Tyler said the guy he bought it from painted it white.
Color #1 faded yellow is the actual Vinyl, and of corse what is left on the
car is primer,..

so anyways can you tell im bored,.....
