Here's a shot of one of the door hinges with the mounting pads pressed on & a bolt in place of where the pin will go. Still got a ways to go on them, but they're startin' to shape up. Got one of the originals in the background. Elumeum' ones are much lighter.

I'm assuming that you are fabricating these parts, Pro. That is incredible...

Thanks WC. Yup. I bought a chunk of use aluminum. It's a little beat up, but once I get done machining it makes no difference. they'll be all shiny when I'm done.

nice work on the hinges Gary 8)

That break looks nice. It's one of those things that you don't use that much, but if you have one you use it more than you think. Luckily a guy about a half mile down the road from me has one...

Last week on the way home from T&T Jeff's Caar was poppin' & runnin' rough. So, Jeff decided to upgrade the optic spark & installed an MSD unit. Now the whole ignition system is MSD. He found a couple questionable plug wires too while he was wrenchin'. So, a few minutes ago he got it back together and we took it out for a test drive. I must say, he done good.
Last week when I did a hole shot I left around 4,500 and mashed the go pedal to the floor. It came out about right doin' it that way. Tonight Jeff came out about 4,000 and it went up on the rev limiter immediately. :D :D No poppin' just a big smile on Jeff's face.
Tomorrow night is T&T #2. I'd be willin' to bet he'll do much better than last week. Stay ''tuned''. (So to speak).

Yup. I think the wires did more than replacin' the opti - but the stock opti spark doesn't like the extra zap from the MSD Jeff found out doin' some research. So, it's problee' good insurance to replace it. Jeff's got a '95. I guess they get wet easy by design (says Jeff). MDS supposedly has that problem solved with their design.
I think he's feelin' purdy good that he found the problem.
