HI everyone. Quite a change. I know that Linda, Jack, and Sharon have done a ton of work thus far. But a July date would make it easier for Denise to attend. We also have lots of friends at PID who could look out for us. The guy who does their nostalgia event is a good pal from the EMMR and Bruce Larson events. I am good with either thing and the visiting with Jack and Sharon already required some hotel changes before the actual event, right? But open to whatever the group decides! bp

Not to worry folks, Linda is already on it. She has found a several hotel/ motels with in 30 to 40 miles from the track. Now don't forget acording to Dennys site this is a one day event, Sat nite show. So even if we do wind up an hour away, from the track, we are only going once. We might be better off being closer to sights to see in the Pittsburgh area. Linda is checking out what there is to see in the area.

No panic we do have 6 months to plan. It takes more than a little tire shake to through off us drag racers. Just slap the throttle, and if ya catch it early enough, it should hook.

I would like to hear if our TX teachers are planning on joining us this year. I like the idea of mid July being much better for Denise and Gina&Danny.

Do we have a track picked out? It was part of the family discussion tonight as we talked about our making our yearly trek to Iowa to see Cheryl's folks, DLN' s 12 and a couple other jaunts we have in the planning stages for 2017.

If we are going to align with the funny car nationals, it looks like it's being moved to Pittsburgh International Dragway. But I haven't even read that full press release yet! bp

Bill, 2017 Pace Performance Funny Car Nationals will be held on Saturday, July 15th at Keystone Raceway Park in New Alexandria, PA. 40 minutes from Pittsburgh. Zappy and LL are all over it, "Michigan Travel Tours of Drag Racing Expeditions." All tours are free gratis except for the cost of one pizza. Your tour will be expertly handled by the beautiful tour hostess Mrs. LL. (boy, am I getting points or what?) Entertainment will be arranged and performed by the world renown Zappy, known for his quick wit and humorous shenanigans. I am so looking forward to July.

I hope this doesn't turn into a Cordova type move for the Great Lakes guys. They seem to have a good thing going it would be a shame if it went the way of the World Series. I don't know a thing about either track or the fan base at each track so maybe it's not the same situation. Wishing them all the best.
So, if PA is the spot and Saturday is the day, do we plan to run basically the same timeline? People come in during the week as they like, Friday night crew dinner, Saturday at the track, Sunday morning breakfast and departure?
