Thanks guys,..
Dave is handling this all better than i
expected. The block is toast, it had been repaired
3 previous times, and is no longer worth the risk at hand.

Dave is looking to replace the block and get a crank
Dave needs a KB stage 10 raised cam std deck 4.375 bore
and a 4.375 crank shaft.

Those dam rev chips, you put in a chip and the actual rpm is activated
300 to 400 rpm sooner than what they say on the chip.
We had a 10,600 chip in the box , but Dave and I said that
incase the sprague rolls or what ever freewheels the motor we did
not want the motor to see that much. The nearest lower chip Dave had was a 9800, this motor see`s 9200-9300 so even with the extra couple
of hundred rpm le-way it should have been fine,... but
with all the unknown factors that goes with running new combo`s
you just have to set the motor tune up on safe, so anyways the motor could have had about 2.5 grams more on the clutch and still been able
to be on the safe side, ....on a side note.....looking at the computer we could have had 4.6 grams on the clutch and ripped a big one down the track.
we where light on the clutch and the motor just drove threw the clutch and it saw 9507 rpm at 4.3 seconds, the rev chip kicked in at 9500 even though it said 9800,...other than it drove threw the clutch the rest of the data collected was great, very nice,.....so get a new block and crank and Dave will be back out,...I hope

The Quinault Beach Resort and Casino team ventured out into the heat of Eastern Washington on the weekend of Aug 3-4. It was the Nitro Extravaganza event, formerly the AHRA World Finals. There were 22 cars entered in the Top Alcohol Funny Car field. We took to the Spokane track for the first time with the new Miner Bros engine at 8 pm on Friday night. It was the second of 4 qualifying sessions scheduled. Right out of the box the car ran a 6.17 at 232 mph. Almost a full 3 tenths of a second quicker than the number two qualifier. With the number one qualifying spot firmly in hand the QBRC team skipped the last two sessions of qualifying during the heat of the day on saturday. First round of eliminations was at 8 pm Saturday night. The first round was an easy victory as was the second round that was ran at 10 pm. The finals were at 1 am with the grandstands still pretty well full of fans watching the action. This is where we ran into a bump in the road. An untimely redlight caused by tuning decisions that I made ended our march through the field with a runner-up position. I recall thinking earlier that this was our race to lose- a thought both arrogant and unfortunately true. But a very nice runner-up trophy and a absolute ton of great exposure for our sponsors made it all more than worthwhile.
Our next event is Aug 16-19 at Yellowstone Raceway in Acton, Mt.- right outside Billings. We will be going over a day early to participate in a car show at the brand new Billings Mall after being requested by the race promoter.
This mail is being sent to those people who have contributed so much to the Germain Motorsports team and I appreciate everything you have done for us from actual money, products and most importantly friendship. Thank you Dave Germain

Howdy all ,...posting up for Dave Germain

Last year dave got a new car to him,..X-Russ Parker GOT MILK funny car
Last year dave picked up a major sponsor ,Quinault Casino.
last year dave got a new Fontana motor late in the season.
Now Dave has a new much lighter body installed on his funny car
and has sent me some pics to share,.it was Dan Wilkersons body
from 2006 it is a 98 firebird and is 130 lbs lighter than his avenger body.

Dave left on wendsday to go test at Vegas this weekend, they got
as far as Stockton cali to stay the night at a best western. They woke
up and headed down the road for about an hour and then stopped to
check how it all was in the trailer,..the door was unlocked and
found that someone had broke into the trailer and stole all his tools, and the
main computer,..luckily that is all they took.
So they made the police report and got back on the road,..arriving
in Vegas last night they had arrived to find the weekends events
and
testing has been cancelled due to weather,....
Dave still poundering what to do and where to park his rig untill
next weekend to try and test again,..talk about getting the short
end of the stick. Dave will collect upsome more tools and regroup,
and get the new bodied car going down the track to what I expect and predict will be carrer et`s and mph`s for him.

wishing Dave as much luck as possible wish for,...

GO GET UM....
