It's a tie between the engine and the lightweight fiberglass panels. The engine is now correctly matched to the car. The doors and fenders were replaced with fiberglass pieces, and along with some other non-essential steel pieces, the weightloss should be substantial.

well...ya see...I figger it this way....the smoky thingys I have on my car now, were scuffed in (several times) on Tim's Camaro....so they are "seasoned" and track savvy.......I was just offerin' to perform the same service for you....albeit on a roughened shop floor (broom finished) rather than a messy ol' rubber encrusted, vht contaminated race track.......Oh well...I guess I'll let you scuff yer own tires...THIS time....LOL :lol:

Pretty work there for sure 8) 59s and 60s are way cool 8)....... it's the fins dude!
While browsing racingjunk the other day I saw a Malibu wagon ad shot from one of those tracks north of the Mason-Dixon line :P showing the car launching.
There was an ominous looking yeller '60 in the other lane :wink:
