not to derail Lippy's thread....

Lou's been (of all things) 4wd truck pulling the last couple of years. (I pull for most of my life, quit and go drag racing - Lou drag races for most of his life, then goes pulling...) He's got a deal with a guy that started out a couple of years ago with Lou building the engine for the truck, that turned into some chassis work and driving now and then, and this summer the owner hasn't been to any events and it's just been Lou. Pretty good deal for Lou - he gets paid to work on the truck, expenses paid when he takes it out, etc. He's running pretty much the same setup engine-wise that he has in the car, so he can share anything he learns between the 2.

I think he had the rail out once this summer, and he was up at Thompson helping me and Johnny out in June. That was the extent of his racing this year.

I haven't talked to him for a few weeks - I'll let him know you said hi.

We now return you to the regularly scheduled Lippy thread....

We'll figure that out after I get a tranny. LOL. Hey Vic, count me in on the A/Fuel funny deal. I think I have a TFX. I've always wanted to try this deal. So, now we go a hunting for stuff. Anyone need some 4.30 gears for a 9- inch?
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

That's the easy part. Unbolt the steering arm from the Pittman arm remove a bolt from the steering box cross member, pivot the cross member out of the way, easy access to the Lenco & clutch can.

Lippy,..not to ruin the whole idea in itself, but I think
if there becomes an actual class for us to run, the rules
will probly stipulate no billit blocks or heads, points type mags,
12 gpm max pumps.etc..etc...
I mean, we dont want anyothers getting the idea of this class
to be running 5.70`s let alone 6.20`s right ???
dual maggs, 48 gpm pumps just wasnt there back in day why
why should it now,..it just wouldnt be nostalgia,..right....
but build it how you want i will match race you anytime just
so we are actually having some fun doing it.
