Tell me about your kids...

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

My oldest child is Justine, she is 10 minutes older than her twin brother.Of my children she is the most daring. If she is nervous about something, then she better get it done then. She has always been able to find work.Recently she has passed tests to become a schoolbus driver. Her kids think this is very cool

My little 6-foot tall 13 year old just led the cello section of the Southern Maryland honors orchestra (combined three southern Maryland counties). They were excellent. These kids can play! I can't believe I never think to take a camera to one of those things... Emily has a pretty bad sinus infection but she was a trooper and nailed every note (despite a bothersome cough during the first piece). Luckily, Denise slipped her a few cough drops that kept her going through the rest of the performance! Best of all, she's a kind and funny person. Go, Emily, go! bp

Thanks, guys. I got to stay home from work today, thanks to Emily. (Never let it be said that I won't exploit my own child's illness to get a day out of work! ) I took her to the doc to get checked out. A slight throat and sinus infection. Got her doped up on amoxicillin and prescription cough syrup... had a nice soup and salad lunch at Olive Garden, then it was home in the family room with a roaring fire, blankets, and The Benchwarmers on DVD... bp
