Well the good news is that after 3 runs, my headers are still in one peice. Apparantly my new-fangled support design must work better.

I ran an 8.70 and an 8.67 in the 2 qualifiers. The track was pretty bad for the faster cars, we were all hopping and sliding around, so those numbers were actually not too bad I guess. I think I was the fastest car in the nostalgia group. Our fixed dial for the night gets set to .1 below our best time, so I had a dial of 8.57. Unless something miraculous happened I wasn't going to find enough traction to come close to that...

I lit the red bulb in the first round by -.015. Must'a drank too much Mountain Dew at lunch  I ran it on through several loose spots and fishtails for an 8.65. It was one of those times when I had the other car covered so much that I could have had a sandwich at the line then left and still caught him. But hey - that's racin'.

Finished going through the engine and fired it last night. Everything is still in one peice.

We're heading over to Quaker City in Salem Saturday for another Nostalgia Wars race.
