Edgewater was a fun time Wednesday. It was our first time to this track and I must say that we were impressed by the facility and the track. It rained for 10-15 minutes around 4, but they were up and running cars down the track within a half hour after the sun came out. It rained again after time trials, but once again, there were cars running down the track a lot quicker than I expected.

There were 5 B/GS cars and we ran 1 time trial/qualifier and had 2 match race rounds on a 5.40 index. I got a solo run for my time trial and laid down a 5.50. That put me #4 in the group. I ran Bob Sarkisian's Hellacious Anglia in the first round. He broke out so I won the round with a 5.45. Second round I was paired with Eldon Miller's Black Widow Willys. Eldon beat me to the stripe with an 5.43 against my 5.45.

I guess I'm ready to go bracket racing - looks like the car just wanted to run 5.45's  I thought about tweaking it for the second round, but the air was getting better (unfortunately the humidity was going up as fast as the A/D was, so they were at cross purposes), so I figured I'd leave it alone. I was pretty pleased with the numbers tho.

After sitting down and reviewing out schedules for the next couple of months, we decided that we're pretty much done racing for the season. Between kids activities (1 in marching band and high school cross country, another in jr high cross country) and the wife's work schedule there's not much time left for racing. We're playing it by ear whether we'll get out for a hit, but it's not likely. The good thing is that we may have completed a season with a running car for the first time in a long time 8)
