Wheelz, Sharon, Doc, Heather, Bee, Jerry, ProZ, Perry, BP, Bandito, Billy, Lippy, ExPat, Maritime, Mike, Gator and all at DragList: Thank you and God Bless you. Most folks wouldn't understand. I'm very lucky to have your friendship. This hit us harder than we ever imagined it could, and as much as we tried to be tough and see it realistically and practically, we still weren't ready to have the inevitable, final outcome. It was one of those things you can't resolve. You just keep going and carry on. But I have my friends here for me. I'll be there for you, too. Now, to work on the future. Eddyville. Telecaster. New air conditioner for Ludwig. Life is good. WC1

A footnote to this episode in the life of our family: Today I went to the Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists' Critical Care Unit and received Sabbath's ashes. The urn they are in is made out of his paw print. He's home now, at last with us. Nick (I mean Chris) will keep Sabby's ashes in a place of honor. I know it might seem strange to say this, but it feels great to have him back home again, even though it's like this. To celebrate the occasion, on the way to the GCVS, I stopped off at Fuller's Vintage Guitars on the North Loop and bought a brand-new American Fender Telecaster...black...Life is good. Welcome home, Sabby. WC1

Well... After coming home from dinner last night, I see my kitty, Maddie, was struck by a car and killed right in front of our home. The neighborhood kids said she was struck by a truck going super fast.

If the truck was going so fast that he was unable to swurve, next time, it may be one of the kids darting into the road.

Everyone seems to speed in my neighborhood, on my street. So now it's time to make some improvements. This weekend I'll be trying to get a petition going on to get some speed bumps, although most of my neighbors speak Spanish, this will be a challenge.

Until something is placed to help with the speeders... It's time to get the duct tape out, lay it upside down, so that when cars run out it, they'll think they have a flat tire and instinctivly slow down.
