Hello to everyone!!! Wow, I agree with all others, it will take some time to put down all the happenings. Missed everybody who wasn't there! It was great seeing everyone who made the trip.

One thing I have to say up front. It was so wonderful meeting everyone in person. The personality that comes thru on the board here for each one, is dead on! They were all exactly the great people that we get a glimpse of each day here! 8)

Thanks to BP for making this our home on the web, and for all the things he does for us! Speaking of BP, what a great guy, and he has a wonderful family. Just imagine for one second, taking your family vacation and telling them that part of the trip is to hang out with a bunch of racers at a drag strip in the Midwest heat and humidity for 2-days. Most teenagers would have made you regret your decision to have kids all those years ago. Most wives would have said, "Don't you even think it, you are mine for the short vacation!" BP's family jumped in with both feet. They mixed with everybody and were a lot of fun to be around. They, along with BP, are truly special, and I sure am glad to count them as my friends. :D

Barb, was a major surprise! What a neat lady! :D

You might have guessed, there was cake for Ol' Rapid. It had a Nitro Madness design on it. How cool is that?? 8)

Then these hoodlums gave me a b/day present! I got a trophy! It was a cool old open faced helmet, which everyone signed on a base with a plaque proclaiming Ol' Rapid as their favorite AA/FA driver! It also has a castor wheel mounted on the top in case I get upside down I can keep on rolling! That was special, and really meant a lot for everyone to do something like that! 8)

I will end with this. It was a great time, and the quality of people who are a part of the board along with their spouses are the best in the world!!

Billy Mac and I left the hotel about 5:30 or so. Got back to good ol' K3 about 10:45. Plenty of time for Billy to catch his bus at noon. Had some brunch and dropped the Mac Man off at the bus station. About a half hour I get a call. The legend continues! Billy's still here. It's 4:45 and Greyhound did it to our boy again! He now leaves at 6:45. Maybe......We got up and hurried for what!???  We are having a nice visit, but how much can ya take??? Stay tuned!! We did go by Rte 66 where a division 3 race was going on. Thought about stopping by Rocky's but we didn't think we had time. Hind sight is 20/20. Future sight is nill!
Anyway, we wanted to say hi and check in...Another hour or so we'll see if Billy will ever get home.  :? News at 10!
